Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories using both recognized evaluations and hands-on observation methods.
• Create tailored therapy plans targeting specific short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Implement individual speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Partner with various healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress outside of clinical interactions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field via ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
