Job Overview The Industrial Security Specialist will support the Document Control team by interpreting and applying DoD policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure compliance across a large, cleared employee population handling classified material. Core responsibilities include identifying security risks and contributing to effective mitigation solutions for collateral closed areas and accountability of classified materials. This role may involve courier duties between multiple facilities in North Texas, vehicle handling of classified material, and maintenance of combinations for doors/safes. It is an entry‑level, salaried professional contributor role reporting to the Document Control Lead. What You Will Do Support specialized procedures for the accountability, destruction, and transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information. Audit and accountability for classified asset management using internal systems. Assist with day‑to‑day interaction with internal customers to include area custodian training updates, and pin/combo changes. Be willing/able to assist with personnel security processes upon request. Learn the NISPOM and other mandated security procedures. Minimum Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience with less than 2 years prior relevant experience. Experience with Microsoft Office products. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Experience in dealing with customers and ability to multitask. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations and responsibilities. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and proactively anticipate needs and their impacts. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
