Perform routine and preventative maintenance to extend tool life and ensure consistent performance. Repair minor damage such as chips, wear, and surface imperfections. Buff, polish, and blend surfaces to remove tool marks and restore finish quality. Inspect components for wear, damage, or defects and report findings to supervisors. Use various hand tools and basic shop equipment to complete maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tooling components and work areas. Follow all safety procedures and company standards during maintenance operations. Assist senior machinists or toolmakers with more complex repairs as needed.
