Sentara Patient Care TechnicianLocation: Virginia Beach, VAWork Shift: Third (Nights)Overview:Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, in the Intensive Care Unit.Hours/Shift:Full-time, night shift. 6:45pm to 7:15am and up to every other weekend as needed.Department/Position Overview:We are looking for a hospital experienced employee with compassion and great communication skills to work in this fast-paced environment with our most critical patients. Our 24 bed Intensive Care Unit has a variety of patients to include trauma, cardiac surgery, vascular, medical and surgical patients among other high acuity patients. Work alongside our experienced patient care technicians and RNs to perform intense patient care. Excellent customer service skills are needed to work closely with patients and their family members. Apply today!Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
