Veterinary Technician - Ophthalmology

Position Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge, NJ is looking for experienced veterinary technicians to work in our Ophthalmology department. Schedule Wednesday – Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Responsibilities Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Technician Assist with ophthalmologic exams Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing Properly use and maintain medical equipment including the operating room Provide professional client communication Assist in anesthetic and sedated procedures including ophthalmologic surgery About You Certified technician preferred, but will consider those with 2 years veterinary experience Team oriented Motivated self‑starter Detail oriented Sound problem‑solving abilities Ability to communicate with clients and all members of the veterinary team Empathetic and kind approach to patient care Positive outlook Excellent organizational skills Honesty, integrity, and a desire to have fun Salary and Benefits Salary: $23/hr – $34/hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials Competitive salary based on your level of experience Health, dental, and vision insurance, with HSA option – some plans paid 100% Maternity/Paternity leave Retirement Plan – 401K with employer match Licensing fees paid for credentialed technicians Employee Referral Bonus Paid Time off Mental health support with Talkspace Uniforms provided Pet discounts for medical care Full time credentialed technicians eligible for sign‑on bonus Equal Employment Opportunity Veritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
