You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing individualized instruction plans, collaborating with general education teachers, and providing direct support to ensure every student thrives. Your expertise will help shape a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere where all children can experience success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially at the elementary level, strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Familiarity with individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation
- Flexibility, patience, and a passion for fostering student growth in inclusive settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction based on student IEPs
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, and support staff
- Maintain accurate student documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
