Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification, appropriate for elementary grade levels
• Experience teaching in an elementary special education setting preferred
• In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet individual student needs
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Collaborative spirit to partner with staff, families, and support personnel

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Provide specialized instruction in both small groups and inclusive classroom settings
• Assess students’ academic and behavioral progress, modifying strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation of student achievement and IEP compliance
• Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
