Member Experience Coordinator

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast is to ensure every child has mentors and champions in life.

Position reports to: General Manager or Unit Director

Primary interfaces: Youth, Parents, Program Staff, General Manager, Operations Team

Hours: 23 25 hours/week

Must be able to accommodate and provide an open/consistent M-F schedule unless otherwise approved. Daily hours include: 1:30 - 6:00PM and Wednesdays/minimum days 12:30PM - 6:00PM.

Position description: The Member Experience Coordinator is a high visibility position and requires a positive attitude and accurate skills. The Member Experience Coordinator is responsible for the reception area (front desk) at the club. Duties include greeting guests in a friendly, professional manner, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding the Boys & Club programs and services, entering membership information into membership management system and charging for services performed.

Key roles & responsibilities:

• Commitment to safety
• Acknowledge and greet all visitors. Issue visitor badges when needed.
• Accurately enter membership information in membership management database and maintain membership accounts.
• Answer phone and accurately take messages.
• Provide detailed descriptions of Boys & Girls Club programs, services, facility features and hours of operation.
• Check mail and accurately distribute.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Job skills & requirements:

• Must possess basic math and money handling skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient with database programs; knowledge of KidTrax preferred
• Ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor in a fast-paced setting
• Time management, planning, and organization skills.
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
• CPR & Basic First Aid certified preferred (provide proof upon interview)
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

Physical requirements:

This position may require the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed, and to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. Employees must have the dexterity, coordination, vision, and hearing necessary to perform job tasks safely and accurately.
