Respiratory Therapist – Clinical Specialist (Home Care)

Join our team as a Clinical Specialist (Respiratory Therapist) and bring high-quality respiratory care directly to patients in their homes. This role blends clinical expertise, patient education, and autonomy—ideal for therapists who enjoy meaningful, one-on-one patient interaction outside the hospital setting.
What You’ll Do
- Provide respiratory therapy and life-support care as prescribed by physicians
- Set up and maintain respiratory equipment in patient homes and healthcare settings
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and therapy use
- Perform initial and follow-up clinical assessments
- Monitor patient response and adjust therapy as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and healthcare teams
- Ensure equipment safety, functionality, and compliance standards
- Participate in training, community outreach, and professional development
Credentials & Requirements
- NBRC Credential: CRT or RRT
- Current state license (as applicable)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Experience
- Minimum 2 years hospital/critical care experience (preferred)
- 1 year home healthcare experience (preferred)
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Patient education and communication expertise
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive to patient locations
- Capable of lifting/moving equipment
- Frequent standing, bending, and sitting
- Clear communication with patients and care teams
