About the Role Our client, a reputable hospitality venue in Welkom, Free State , is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Banquet Catering Coordinator. This role is integral to the successful planning and execution of all banquets and catered events hosted at the venue. You will be the primary point of contact for clients from the initial inquiry through to the event's conclusion, ensuring all their catering needs are met with precision and care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple events simultaneously in Welkom . Key Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of banquet and catering events, including client consultations, menu selection, and logistical planning in Welkom, Free State . Develop detailed event orders and timelines for both clients and internal teams. Liaise with the culinary team, service staff, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution. Manage client expectations and address any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally. Oversee event setup, ensuring adherence to floor plans and aesthetic requirements. Maintain accurate records of event details, client information, and billing. Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and ensure client satisfaction. Assist with inventory management for banquet supplies and equipment. Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination, banqueting, or catering management. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-centric approach. Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
