Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment in various settings, including commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure equipment at customer sites according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Work with low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with schematics and electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Job Expectations:

• Loading/Unloading: Safely load products onto delivery trucks, secure them, and unload them at the destination (residential and commercial).
• Product Handling: Move exercise equipment from the vehicle into customer homes and facilities. Use protective padding and safety measures throughout the process.
• Maintenance : Keep your workspace clean and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness.
• Assembly & Setup: Assemble the equipment at the designated space. Follow installation manuals and work with the partner to complete each unit efficiently and carefully. Connect the electronic & mechanical systems within the unit, and test the machines to ensure they are fully operational.
• Troubleshooting : Conduct functional tests to ensure equipment works properly, adjust settings, and resolve installation issues on-site. Call manufacturer while onsite when necessary for additional troubleshooting assistance.
• Removing old units : Disconnecting, removing, and hauling away old or damaged equipment.
• Customer Service: Greet customers, maintain a professional demeanor throughout the entire interaction, educate the customer about proper product use, and collect payment upon completion.
• Documentation : Accurately complete delivery paperwork, and installation reports, often utilizing digital systems to enter completion information.
• Requirements & Physical Demands
• Physical Strength : Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy items (often 100+ lbs) throughout the day.
• Tool Proficiency : Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Driving Record : Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, electrical & mechanical systems of various brands of exercise equipment.
