Assistant Dining Room Manager

Geja’s Café, Chicago’s iconic fondue restaurant is currently accepting resumes for a Dining Room Manager position. We are seeking an individual who has previous high volume, fine dining management experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of front of house responsibilities along with exceptional guest relation skills, cost controls and scheduling.

Geja's Café was established in 1965 as Chicago's first wine bar. In 1971 we moved to our current location and have grown into Chicago's Most Romantic Restaurant featuring fondue dining, fine wines and live classical flamenco music.

Requirements:

Guest-oriented and service-minded

Honest and sincere with a welcoming personality

1+ years of fine dining management experience

Exceptionally detail-oriented

Working knowledge of OpenTable

Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient shifts

Able to work nights and weekends

Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate

Allergen Certificate

Oversee staffing responsibilities, which includes overseeing hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating

Food, Wine and Liquor knowledge and cost controls

Working knowledge of computer software programs (MS Office, POS)

Strong communication and leadership skills

Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices

Strong appreciation for wine
