Nursing Director – Obstetrics  Brownsville, TX | Full-Time | Leadership Opportunity

Are you an experienced nursing leader with a strong background in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU ? This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your leadership career and make a meaningful impact across Women’s Services.

As the Nursing Director – Obstetrics , you’ll partner closely with the CNO and hospital leadership to oversee nursing practice, clinical operations, staff development, patient safety, and quality outcomes across assigned services.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Obstetrics & Women’s Services
• Oversee L&D, Mother/Baby, NICU , and related patient care services
• Ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
• Lead, mentor, develop, and support nursing teams
• Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
• Manage staffing, resources, and departmental operations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leadership
• Serve as a strong advocate for patients, families, and the nursing profession
• Support the CNO in achieving organizational and clinical goals

What You Bring

• BSN required
• Active RN license
• 2+ years of progressive hospital management experience as a Nurse Manager or Director
• Strong experience in Women’s Services , including:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Mother/Baby or Postpartum
  • NICU
• AHA BLS certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and operational skills

Preferred

• MSN, MBA, or related Master’s degree
• Experience with high-acuity patients, NICU, and complex cases
• Proven success in quality improvement, staff development, and clinical operations
