Assistant Professor In-Residence

Assistant Professor In-Residence UCSF Department of Dermatology seeks an Assistant Professor to establish a basic‑translational research program focused on neuro‑immune interactions contributing to cutaneous dysesthesia, pain, itch, and chronic inflammatory conditions. The candidate will also devote a portion of their time to clinical care at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC), and teach residents, medical students, and house staff. The appointee receives laboratory space in 1700 Owens and will participate in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program. Responsibilities Establish a basic‑translational research program on neuro‑immune interactions in skin conditions. Provide clinical care at SFVAMC. Teach residents, medical students, and house staff. Requirements MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree. Demonstrated achievement in the field. Salary range of $154,700‑$200,400, with eligibility for additional compensation under the health sciences plan.
