Full Stack DeveloperJob Role Summary: The Upstream Technical Computing teams deliver industry-leading business capabilities and computational sciences through proprietary, commercial-grade software. We are looking for passionate, self-starting team members who will challenge the status quo and always be willing to learn and contribute in new ways. The Full Stack Web Developer position is located in Spring, TX and requires active collaboration with internal stakeholders and other developers to deliver software solutions to Upstream business lines. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of application development including work planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.Primary Job Functions:Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to our most challenging upstream business problemsArchitect, implement, deploy, and support cloud-ready and cloud-native, web-based applicationsContinue to learn and share software industry best practices with team membersJob Requirements:Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field of studyStrong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain expertsStrong grasp of software engineering best practices for code quality and maintainability such as OOAD, SOLID principles, and automated testingMinimum of ten years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting web-based applications including frontend, business logic, and data layersProficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C# (preferred), Java, PythonExtensive experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and with modern web frameworks/libraries such as Angular (preferred) and ReactGood grasp of the REST architectural style and experience implementing REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API (preferred), Node.js, or FlaskExperience building data models and data access layers against either SQL or NoSQL databasesPreferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Experience building, deploying, and supporting applications on Cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GooglePrior work experience with large scale data management systemsExperience working on teams following Agile software development methodologiesExperience participating in the user centered design processPrior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry (nice-to-have)Location: Clients Houston Campus - This will be in the office, but have flexibility to work remote a couple days a week**Looking for Sr candidates with 10+ years experience, but open to seeing strong candidates who have 5+ years experience at a competitive market rate**Interview: 1 Hour Zoom Interview to be scheduled ASAP Software Technology, Inc.
