Windows Server & VMware Administrator Location: Indianapolis, IN Responsibilities Provide technical support, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting to keep the DC infrastructure operational. Manage infrastructure lifecycle from build to decommission; build, patch, upgrade, install, migrate, or decommission servers and applications as required. Handle alerts, incidents, work orders, change requests, problem records, ticket analysis, and root‑cause analysis as part of the support team. Collaborate with other support teams to maintain continuous uptime. Assist users with day‑to‑day problems and project needs, handling major incidents and complex change requests under pressure. Administer Windows Server and VMware ESXi servers, including software installations. Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services. Build, manage, restore, and retire servers for both physical and virtual environments, including physical-to-virtual migrations. Manage file and print servers, including migration and troubleshooting of user, capacity, compute, and patch issues. Coordinate with vendors for service calls and escalated matters; perform backup/restore activities (BMR, IBB) and file/folder restores. Perform patch management using Symantec Altiris tools. Administer and maintain vCenter vSphere environments, supporting VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations. Maintain extensive knowledge of SAN storage, presenting storage to ESX hosts and Windows Server, and troubleshooting converged or hyper‑converged infrastructure incidents. Essential Skills Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 VMware 5.x and 6.x PowerShell scripting Dell and HP ProLiant (DL/ML/BL) servers, enclosures, and/or Cisco UCS blade servers Desirable Skills Desktop Management – Infrastructure Services (IS) – Windows Servers Experience 2–4 years of relevant experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr TekCommands Inc
