Title: Business Manager

Location : St. Mary Roman Catholic Church Conshohocken PA

Position : Part-time approximately 15-20 hours a per week with some flexibility in days/times.

Summary : The St. Marys Parish Business Manager is a key office team employee who reports directly to the Pastor and serves an important role in a growing and vibrant parish. This person assists the Pastor in fulfilling his day to day operational administrative and financial responsibilities and works in conjunction with the other office staff. The Business Manager has numerous responsibilities listed below as well as occasional ad-hoc duties that arise from parish events and initiatives.

l Human resources support including payroll retirement insurance employee handbooks and benefits.

l Insurance (Quadra) property

l Financial responsibilit ies

o Bookkeeping (Quickbooks) check writing account reconciliation

o 1099 forms

o Oversee on online donations through VANCO

o Monthly quarterly annual financial reports

o Annual budget

o Finance committee duties including preparing financials attending two meetings annually and keeping meeting minutes.

o Coordinate mass stipends accounting with office assistant

l Coordination with office staff.

o Be familiar with parish database of parishioners and donations.

o Help maintain parish calendarcatechism homeschool groups choristers etc.

o Coordinate with Office Assistant on fire inspection kitchen health inspection etc.

l Assist in preparation of special events (such as: the fall parish picnic Christmas party Childrens summer program etc.) in so far as the parish office is required such as preparing checks ordering rentals maintaining financials and emergency contacts etc.

l Assist pastor on contacting maintenance contractors i.e. scheduling HVAC work plumbing repairs etc. For capital projects assist and coordinate with pastor in bidding process according to the Archdiocesan policies. Note that pastor will mostly oversee and sign-off on the actual work of the contractors.

l Other duties as assigned by pastor.

Qualifications

l Previous related work experience preferred

l Knowledge of relevant office software especially Quickbooks

l Ability to handle confidential sensitive matters with tact respect and discretion required.

l Excellent communication skills written and oral.

l Strong attention to detail

l Self-motivated with ability to work independently to accomplish tasks but also to work well with others showing flexibility and resilience

l Practicing faithful Catholic who loves the Church and serving other

St. Mary located in Conshohocken Pennsylvania is a Roman Catholic church and non-territorial quasi-parish served by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia . In 2018 Archbishop Chaput established the quasi-parish of St Mary for the pastoral care of those wishing to worship according to the 1962 liturgical rituals of the Catholic Church and he invited the Fraternity of St Peter to staff the quasi-parish.
