Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree, active Physical Therapy Assistant license, and 1+ years Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you'll play a crucial part in helping children achieve their physical development goals, working closely with a supervising Physical Therapist and collaborating with teachers and staff. This county-wide position begins as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering you a meaningful way to empower students in their learning environments.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid PTA license in West Virginia (or eligibility for WV licensure)
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or related setting preferred
• Strong communication abilities, with a collaborative, student-centered approach
• Familiarity with IEPs, therapeutic documentation, and adaptive strategies in an educational context
• Flexibility and adaptability, working across multiple school locations as needed

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Supporting students’ mobility, strength, and gross motor skill development within school routines
• Documenting progress and maintaining thorough, timely records of student interventions
• Assisting with evaluations and screenings to identify student needs
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
• Attending required meetings and contributing to IEP teams
