Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is based near Augusta, WV, serving countywide and possibly open to virtual arrangements. Bring your expertise to a collaborative educational setting and make a difference during the 2026-2027 school year. The schedule is part-time, totaling 20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid, active West Virginia PT or PTA license
• Experience with school-aged children strongly preferred
• PTA applicants require a supervising PT (can be provided)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Adaptable to a variety of student needs and abilities
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
• Reliable, responsible, and motivated to help students succeed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and contribute to goal setting for students’ mobility and physical functioning
• Maintain thorough and timely therapy records
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student progress
• Consult on classroom modifications and adaptive equipment when needed
• Support students in developing functional motor skills important for academic and daily activities
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized student plans
• Adhere to state, district, and school policies and procedures
