CNC Machinist

Now hiring CNC Machinists in the Midland, TX area for 1st Shift (6AM–6PM) and 3rd Shift (6PM–6AM)! We're looking for detail-oriented professionals with experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and grinders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You should be comfortable reading blueprints, setting offsets, troubleshooting G-code/M-code programs, and maintaining tight tolerances on precision metal parts. CNC Machinist Details:

• Contract to Hire position
• $ 26.00 to $ 36.00 / hour
• Weekend work required
• Various shifts available

• Operate and set up CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and machining equipment to manufacture precision metal and nonmetal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and setup instructions to maintain tight tolerances.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs (G-code/M-code), adjust tool offsets, and optimize machine performance.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to correct machining errors or out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Use hand and power tools to complete machining and mechanical functions safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment while following PPE requirements.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and overtime/weekend shifts as needed.

CNC Machinist Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNC machining and programming experience required.
• Ability to read, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, safety procedures, and manuals.
• Experience setting up tooling, fixtures, and cutting tool offsets on mills and lathes.
• CAM software experience preferred (Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, etc.).
• Strong math, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow directions effectively.
• Must be dependable, team-oriented, and willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
