Sr Production Supervisor, Packaging - Sturgis, MI Plant

Abbott seeks a Senior Production Supervisor for its Sturgis, Michigan nutrition manufacturing facility. This leadership role oversees multi-shift packaging operations, mentors front-line supervisors, and manages budgets up to $12 million while ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-shift manufacturing operations and directly mentor front-line leaders on shift performance
• Establish and track key performance measures including OEE, labor, downtime, and material usage
• Ensure high-quality product delivery and compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies
• Manage line budgets, staffing activities, and lead cross-functional change initiatives
• Provide coaching, feedback, and represent operations during audits and site leadership meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, food technology, technical or engineering
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience managing other Production Supervisors
• Demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Coaching, development, and influencing skills with change management expertise
• Advanced problem-solving and financial budgetary management accountability
• Project management and strategic planning capabilities
