Security Engineer Professional | Remote

Senior Engineer This position may be offered to a candidate authorized to work in the US for his/her/their stated employer, without any restrictions which would prevent the candidate from working on the proposed assignment for the duration of the assignment period. Must haves: Palo Alto is the must have for this experience. Strong preference for candidates who have any knowledge or understanding of CyberArk. The Senior Engineer will provide engineering and automation of Firewall/Web Application Firewall on-prem and in the cloud. Other opportunities include automation through scripting, companywide new application implementation and other secure perimeter activities for the Clients infrastructure and applications across multi-site enterprise cloud and data center environments. This role will be the main point of contact for working with the business on a creating a new segmented environment for a new application. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent experience. 4+ years of professional IT experience with implementation and administration of any firewalls and other secure perimeter. Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks products, with a focus on Next-Generation Firewall and some comparative technologies; continuous technical development. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages Python, Perl, Yaml, powershell. Added advantage on knowledge of CI/CD pipeline. Linux skills. Experience with networking and troubleshooting. Ability to prioritize work without management direction and provide clear, documented status updates to the management and the team. Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Experience in supporting encryption and/or security appliance devices. Preferred Skills: Strong understanding of network infrastructure. Familiar with cloud service and technology infrastructure. Critical thinking of status quo.
