Clinical Specialist I, CPT - Phoenix, AZ

Abbott seeks a Clinical Specialist I in Phoenix to provide technical and clinical support for chronic pain therapy products. The role involves collaborating with sales teams and healthcare providers to build expertise, manage customer relationships, and support device programming and training within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical, clinical, and programming support primarily to 1-2 territory managers
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and account knowledge, including competitor activity monitoring
• Conduct clinical in-services, training, and technical troubleshooting for medical professionals and staff
• Assist with after-hours support and provide feedback on device usage in operating room and other settings
• Develop sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities and evaluate customer training needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years work experience, preferably in clinical patient-facing settings
• Strong understanding of chronic pain therapy clinical data and ability to educate others
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities at multiple organizational levels
• Capacity for flexible scheduling with potential last-minute changes due to operating room demands
• Ability to travel 25% within and outside assigned region
