Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | Rotating shifts possible across contract period | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage high-acuity patient diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme/onc, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts
• Operate and monitor ventilators and inotropic drips; assist with intubated patients as needed
• Float to NICU as required and to Peds ED for admitted patient assignments when patients are holding; cross-training to PED assignment is optional
• Complete charting accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend shift expectations: 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday considered weekend nights)

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of PICU experience
• Influenza vaccination required
• Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility; non-local driver's license required on file

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators and working knowledge of inotropic drips
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
