Education Requirements

Required Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience in product design, development, or systems engineering
• Foundational understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system analysis, functional specifications, design, validation, testing, and product delivery
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
• Experience creating engineering drawings, 3D models, technical sketches, and performing engineering calculations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and analytical reports
• Hands-on experience with CAD and modeling tools, preferably CREO, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering collaboration tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities and project deliverables
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, innovation, and a results-driven mindset

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, hydraulic components, and mobile equipment applications
• Experience supporting supplier collaboration, component integration, and system-level design activities

Position Summary

The Design Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and optimization of mobile hydraulic systems and components. This role combines engineering design, project coordination, and supplier application engineering responsibilities to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet customer, supplier, and business requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate with global engineering teams, hydraulic component suppliers, and machine design groups to develop and implement system solutions while ensuring performance, reliability, quality, and program objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hydraulic system and component solutions that meet performance, durability, quality, and cost objectives
• Apply engineering principles and technical knowledge to define functional requirements, component specifications, and system integration strategies
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend multiple design alternatives using data-driven engineering analysis and sound technical judgment
• Perform design verification, validation, and engineering analysis activities to ensure compliance with product requirements
• Lead technical discussions with suppliers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to support product development and implementation efforts
• Collaborate with domestic and international engineering teams to execute projects and achieve program milestones
• Conduct and participate in design reviews, technical presentations, and stakeholder meetings
• Manage technical documentation, engineering data, project schedules, and deliverables while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
• Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial documentation for internal reviews, supplier discussions, and leadership presentations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design, system performance, and engineering processes
• Ensure project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are achieved through effective planning and execution
• Travel occasionally to supplier locations, product development facilities, customer sites, and dealer locations as required
