Technical Account ManagerThe Technical Account Manager is a customer-facing role responsible for supporting revenue growth by aligning technical requirements with commercial strategy. This position manages technical feasibility, RFQ execution, pricing development, and sales forecasting in direct support of the sales team. Working closely with the EVP of Sales & Marketing, this individual maintains the sales pipeline and technical project tracking to ensure disciplined execution and successful program launches across the global sales cycle. The role serves as a critical bridge between customer technical needs and internal commercial operations, enabling the sales organization to move quickly and accurately through each stage of the sales process.Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Management & KPI ReportingMaintain and manage the global sales pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are accurately tracked from identification through awardDevelop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including win/loss ratios, quote turnaround times, and pipeline healthUtilize advanced Excel modeling to provide the EVP of Sales with visibility into future revenue and resource requirementsMonitor performance against sales targets and provide data-driven insights to optimize prospecting effortsRFQ, Quoting & ForecastingLead RFQ reviews to ensure absolute clarity on technical and commercial requirementsCoordinate cross-functional feasibility reviews with engineering, quality, and operationsReview manufacturing costs and develop competitive pricing recommendations in alignment with sales strategyManage the quote log and drive rigorous follow-up to improve conversion ratesDevelop and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on pipeline data, quote status, and program timingTechnical Feasibility, APQP & Project TrackingManage technical feasibility and communicate risks, assumptions, and gaps to the customerSupport APQP activities and manage the PPAP process to ensure successful program launchesServe as the primary technical liaison between the customer and internal manufacturing teamsTrack awarded programs from initial quote through launch, ensuring milestones and deliverables are metLead print reviews and serve as the central clearinghouse for all technical documentationGlobal Customer Engagement & TravelTravel globally as required to support business development, technical reviews, and program launchesLead onsite technical presentations and support complex commercial negotiationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering, purchasing, and program teamsSales & Business Development SupportSupport the EVP Sales in prospecting, pipeline development, and opportunity qualificationAssist in developing new business with existing and prospective Tier 1 and OEM customersProvide actionable field feedback to engineering and operations based on customer inputCustomer Support & Issue ResolutionProactively visit customers to identify emerging needs and resolve technical hurdlesCoordinate with quality and engineering to resolve customer issues and drive corrective actionsMaintain disciplined documentation of customer interactions, actions, and follow-upsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field, or equivalent experience3–7+ years in technical sales, applications support, or a technical account management environmentProven experience with PPAP and APQP processes is a requirementStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, print interpretation, and cost driversAbility to travel internationallyKey Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills: Expert level required for cost modeling, pipeline data analysis, and forecastingStrong technical and commercial acumen with a proactive, ownership-driven mindsetHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-throughProfessional communication skills suitable for executive-level interactionAbility to manage multiple global priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentGlobal perspective and ability to navigate various business cultures
