Project Manager

Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing small to mid-sized projects or portions of larger production programs, applying industry best practices and company processes to ensure successful execution. This role manages project planning, scheduling, financial controls, risk and opportunity management, supplier and contractual matters, and program reporting, while supporting the Program Management Team and leading small to medium proposals within budget and schedule requirements. Domestic and international travel may be required . Essential Functions Support development of manufacturing plans and coordinate activities related to contract changes Monitor project performance and submit contract deliverables (SDRLs) to ensure contractual compliance Support Earned Value Management , Integrated Master Schedule reporting, and financial analysis Assist with contract negotiations, change proposals, and risk identification and mitigation activities Other duties as assigned Requirements Require d Skills Knowledge of FAR/DAR, contracts and subcontracts, WBS, change management, and risk management Proficiency in cost, schedule, and program management, including Earned Value Management (EVM) Strong customer service, negotiation, problem-solving, and vendor management skills Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor Must adhere to I SO and O SHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; employee recognition and discipline; resolving employee concerns; and developing employees with the skills, competencies, and values needed to achieve Company goals Education and Experience Bachelor's degree , or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 8 Years of project management, administration or contract/subcontract experience required PMP certificate preferred and e xperience in a shipbuilding or maritime environment preferred Fincantieri's core competencies reflect our values and key behavioral expectations for all employees: Open Mindset: Identify and solve problems, embrace change, and seek continuous learning Strategic Leadership: Build trust, unity, and accountability while working toward shared goal s Accomplishment: Take ownership, deliver results, and ensure customer satisfaction Social Connection: Collaborate, communicate, and value diversity and inclusion Leadership Excellence : Fincantieri leaders lead by example, empower, and inspire success Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand o r walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type ; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear.
