WRI Solutions, New York State Agricultural Mediation Program (NYSAMP) Position Type: Part-Time | 0.6 FTE | 22.5 hours per week Compensation: $25.64–$38.46 per hour Benefits: You will be entitled to a benefit package which includes membership in the New York State Employees' Retirement System. About NYSAMP The New York State Agricultural Mediation Program (NYSAMP) is operated by Welfare Research, Inc. d/b/a WRI Solutions. NYSAMP is New York's USDA-certified agricultural mediation program, providing free, confidential mediation services to agricultural producers, lenders, and related parties navigating complex disputes. The Opportunity This newly created role manages NYSAMP's day-to-day case flow, communications, and administrative operations, with divorce program coordination growing into a primary focus. The position works closely with and reports to NYSAMP's Statewide Director. What You'll Do Communications & Intake First point of contact for incoming calls and public-facing email from parties and referral sources. Track all inquiries for program reporting. Post approved social media content. Represent NYSAMP at events or meetings when the Statewide Director is unavailable. Case Management Own the full case lifecycle for assigned cases: intake, screening, file creation, mediator assignment, and closure. Maintain case and mediator records in NYSAMP's database. Prepare and send consents and agreements via DocuSign. Determine case referrals to partner organizations; field related partner questions. Provide backend support on specialized USDA cases. Log outreach events in corresponding system(s). This program will grow into a primary focus of this role. The Program Coordinator will serve as lead contact for parties and mediators. Manage high-volume intakes end-to-end: screening, paperwork, file creation, DocuSign, and closure. Become the in-house expert on divorce mediation procedures and case suitability. Support a dedicated sub-panel of mediators: assignments, documents, invoices, and communication. General Administration Collect, review, and process mediator invoices. Provide administrative support to the Statewide Director as needed. Provide logistical and on-site support for NYSAMP events and conferences. What We're Looking For Required Associate's degree or equivalent experience. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized; able to prioritize and pivot when needs shift. Comfortable working with diverse populations. Demonstrated success in a flexible work environment; self-directed and reliable. Responsive and accountable. Proficient with Zoom, DocuSign, Slack, MS Office, Facebook, and MailChimp. Adept at working with people in high-stress situations. Committed to strict confidentiality. Willing to complete required training courses, including initial mediator training. Preferred Experience in case management or program coordination. Background in mediation, conflict resolution, or ADR; existing mediator credentials a plus. Experience with Caseload Manager or similar database. Familiarity with or interest in New York agriculture and rural communities. Experience supporting organizational leadership. This is a grant-funded, part-time position (22.5 hrs/week, 0.6 FTE). Hours follow a set weekly schedule established at hire and are not self-directed. Work arrangements are determined by NYSAMP and may include onsite, co-working, or hybrid settings, with remote arrangements possible as the role develops. Some in-state travel is required.
