Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• EIPA score of 3.0 or higher required.
• Experience interpreting in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is highly desirable.
• Proficient in expressive and receptive American Sign Language skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate with both classroom teachers and special education staff.
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting students' educational goals.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and update communication methods as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite interpretation services for students, teachers, and staff throughout the school day (7:45 am to 3:15 pm).
• Ensure effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and the school community.
• Participate in meetings, school functions, and extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure all students' needs are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and follow school policies and procedures.
