About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Nursing experience, with at least 6 months to 1 year in Psych/Behavioral health setting License: Permanent RN license required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Solid clinical judgment Strong assessment and delegation skills Leadership qualities Description: Float pool nurses should have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Candidates must have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Psych or Behavioral health setting. Float nurses will work as experienced nurses across multiple inpatient units. The patient population includes children, adolescents, and adults. Candidates will need to demonstrate solid clinical judgment. Strong assessment and delegation skills are essential. Leadership qualities are also necessary for this position. Candidates may be required to work as the charge nurse during a shift without additional pay. All nurses will be expected to float to meet facility needs. Medical marijuana cards will not be accepted for purposes of employment. Candidates must pass a mandatory drug screen and fingerprinting prior to employment. All RNs must have their permanent license in hand at the time of application. RTO must be submitted with the initial profile, and any requests after submission must be worked out with the facility.
