Quality ManagerThe onsite Quality Manager leads the implementation of the site Quality Management Plan, establishes inspection controls, verifies compliance with approved construction documents and manufacturer requirements, directs the field quality team, maintains auditable records needed to support mechanical completion, substantial completion and final completion and leads non-conformance investigations.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend job construction meetingsReview drawings, submittals, and spec sheets with Quality Team prior to starting new phases of workUpdate Inspection and Testing Plans based on project requirementsUpdate Quality Inspection templates based on project requirementsFollow company-wide safety practices, policies, and trainingPromote a culture of quality and safety on siteReview subcontractor quality plans, personnel, SOPs, and calibrated equipment for compliance with our QMS and provide details on areas of non-conformanceDirect inspection coverage for construction activitiesReview, approve, and submit inspection reports per contract requirementsPerform quality inspections as necessaryReview, classify, investigate, and track non-conformancesAnalyze defect trends, NCR aging, repeat findings, and rework drivers to recommend preventative actionsOversee and/or witness torque marks and commissioning testsIdentify and control Critical to Quality (CTQ) activitiesVerify that on-site execution complies with engineering, technical specifications, regulations, and contractual requirementsEnsure document control and traceability on siteSupport the preparation of the final quality project close-out process.Liaison with external parties, including contractors and stakeholders, on matters relating to the organization's QMSEnsures the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organizationCoordinates audits, both internal and external, to ascertain compliance with set quality standardsDrives continuous improvement initiatives within the projectDevelops and publishes quality reportsSchedules and/or conducts training for quality personnelTracks training requirementsConducts quality meetings with internal and external shareholdersRequirementsMinimum 5+ years of quality control/inspection management on utility scale solar projectsComfortable climbing ladders up to 12 feetCurrent valid driver's license required and insurable driving recordStrong written and verbal communication skills (phone and email)Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50 poundsProficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to become proficient in Procore, SiteDocs, BlueBeam and additional software as necessaryWorking knowledge of applicable requirements such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, ASTM, IEC, NFPA, and project-specific quality standardsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeepingAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentProficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, installation manuals, and diagrams for project executionClear communicator who maintains a calm, professional demeanor in all situationsStrong problem-solving skillsMust be 18 years or olderPreferred CertificationsOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certificationNABCEP PV Installation Professional, PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist, or comparable solar credentialISO 9001 internal or lead auditor trainingNICET, electrical inspection, concrete, thermography, or other relevant discipline certificationFirst Aid/CPR certificationNFPA-70e certificationPhysical DemandsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Frequent walking on uneven terrain and active construction sites.Climb stairs and ladders when required.Travel throughout the project site.Sit or stand for extended periods while using a computer and mobile devices.EOE
