SQL Database Administrator – Senior (Top Secret with agreement to obtain CI Poly) This job requires active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph. Role Summary Provides database administration and management support for Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) in a Microsoft SQL Server-based environment hosting databases across supported networks for various .NET applications. Maintains quality of service, availability, security, and performance of databases through daily system checks, STIG compliance, backup and recovery management, and capacity planning, while supporting application developers and end users. Responsibilities Provide database administration and management support for RDBMS in a Microsoft SQL Server-based environment across supported networks Maintain quality of service and availability of RDBMS by enforcing organizational standards through daily system checks; record 100% of findings and statuses to the IT Portal Ensure all SQL servers and instances have the latest DISA STIGs applied within 30 calendar days of release; notify Government of critical findings that cannot be remediated within 3 days Manipulate database objects and develop stored procedures, stored functions, and packages based on customer requirements Maintain healthy and reliable data replication using technologies such as availability groups Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses; optimize code and stored procedures while assisting developers Implement security requirements for least privileged access and monitor user access and security Develop and maintain database documentation including SOPs, TTPs, logical architecture diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, and server lists Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans, including monthly integrity testing of no less than 10% of database backups Conduct capacity planning and assist with storage and architecture design Complete CRITICAL daily checks by 0700 daily and all other priority checks by 1000 daily Notify the Government of any unscheduled system outages within 30 minutes of occurrence Provide after-hours on-site support with 2-hour response time to system/application malfunctions Monitor and assume responsibility of trouble tickets to maintain 99% system availability rate Required Qualifications Eight years of experience in SQL database administration supporting and managing databases in a production environment Five years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group configurations Five years of experience with T‑SQL and ability to write scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views to automate maintenance functions Three years of experience serving as a team leader working both as part of a team and independently to assign/review immediate tasks, set priorities, maintain task progress, and validate team members' work Three years of experience mentoring junior personnel on proper practices and procedures Three years of experience planning and implementing security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure in accordance with industry best practices and DISA STIGs Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or SQL Server 2016 or SQL Database Administration Certification DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification TS/SCI clearance with SBI and ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with the DCD IT Portal and Government-managed STIG management portals Experience supporting .NET applications in a production environment For positions requiring a federal security clearance, your clearance level must be clearly identified on your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr North-Point-Technology
