Fitness Instructor

Shift Hours: 6+ hours per week; Primary Need: Late morning aquatic classes and coverage for land-based fitness classes Requirements: Requires an Associate's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience. May require a valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Some experience in fitness instruction is preferred. Roles and Responsibilities: The Fitness Instructor leads safe, engaging group exercise classes while creating a positive and welcoming environment for participants. Instructors may teach both aquatic and land-based classes and provide coverage as needed. Lead safe and effective group fitness classes for varying ability levels. Provide appropriate exercise modifications and safety cues. Maintain a friendly, professional, and inclusive atmosphere. Speak clearly so all participants can follow instructions. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe exercise environment. Attend quarterly Be Well meetings. Stay current on IU Health communications, required training, and continuing education.
