Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial mechanical projects throughout the Denver market. This position requires strong financial management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client-facing skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeoutOversee HVAC, hydronic piping, plumbing, process piping, and sheet metal scopesDevelop project budgets, cost forecasts, schedules, and manpower plansManage project financials, including cost reports, billing, change orders, and cash flowReview drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, equipment selections, and procurement schedulesCoordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadershipPartner with superintendents and foremen to maintain productivity, quality, and schedule commitmentsIdentify project risks and develop solutions before they affect cost or scheduleManage equipment and material procurement, including long-lead itemsLead project meetings and provide clear updates to internal and external stakeholdersSupport startup, testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, and turnoverMaintain compliance with company safety and quality standardsBuild lasting client relationships and help identify repeat-business opportunitiesMentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers as neededQualificationsAt least five years of mechanical construction experiencePrevious experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a mechanical contractorStrong understanding of commercial or industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal systemsDemonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change ordersAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and coordination documentsStrong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, P6, or similar construction software preferredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience will also be consideredEstablished relationships within the Denver construction market are a plusPreferred Project ExperienceExperience managing one or more of the following project types is preferred:Healthcare and laboratory facilitiesData centers and mission-critical facilitiesAdvanced manufacturing and industrial projectsCommercial office and mixed-use developmentsHigher education and institutional facilitiesHospitality and multifamily developmentsCentral utility plants and large mechanical infrastructure projectsCompensation and BenefitsBase salary of $120,000–$160,000, depending on experiencePerformance-based bonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and company holidaysVehicle allowance or company vehicleFuel card and company-provided technologyProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesWhy Join?This is an opportunity to join an established mechanical construction team with a strong backlog in the Denver market. xhyhwjd The position offers ownership over challenging projects, direct access to company leadership, and a defined path toward Senior Project Manager and Project Executive responsibilities.
