Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Perform patient assessment, triage, patient education, care planning and coordination, and various nursing interventions
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to practice within the full scope of nursing as defined by the applicable Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules
• Must badge in and out at the facility for every shift
• Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
• Familiarity with the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses
