Registered Nurse - Med/Surg and eICU

This position requires a day shift schedule of 3, 12-hour shifts per week.

The Registered Nurse position provides quality, professional nursing care to patients, focusing on Med/Surg and eICU care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in the department. The RN must adapt to changes in daily assignments, patient status changes, and unit needs.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized patient care throughout the hospitalization.
• Develop, document, and implement patient care plans based on assessments and medical diagnoses.
• Respond to life-threatening situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate significant changes effectively using electronic documentation.
• Perform medication administration competently, including IV therapy.
• Initiate patient and family education plans based on unique needs and hospital policy.
• Delegate and collaborate with other health team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain a safe environment and demonstrate knowledge of infection control procedures.

• Two-year degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Wisconsin Registered Nursing license required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire; PALS encouraged.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
