Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team and maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship. If you have experience working with heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, or industrial machinery, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Replace or repair faulty components, including fuel systems, hydraulics, and exhaust systems
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each vehicle or machine
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and hydraulics
• Proficiency in reading schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diesel Certification or equivalent
• Experience working with fleet vehicles.
• Strong understanding of electrical and computerized engine systems
