This role focuses on building and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments, with an emphasis on Microsoft 365, identity services, and enterprise systems architecture.The ideal candidate brings broad infrastructure experience with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, identity and access management, and a practical understanding of automation, modern tooling, and emerging AI capabilities. This person will operate as a senior individual contributor, providing technical depth, sound judgment, and influence across infrastructure initiatives.This role is well-suited for someone who can take ownership of complex technical areas, help shape standards and direction, and potentially grow into broader team or functional leadership over time.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure systems across cloud and hybrid environmentsServe as a subject matter expert for core Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and related collaboration servicesMaintain a working understanding of SharePoint Online and its role within the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystemSupport and enhance identity and access management practices, including provisioning, lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, conditional access, and access governanceProvide senior-level technical guidance on infrastructure design, systems architecture, integrations, and operational best practicesUse scripting, automation, and modern tooling to improve consistency, efficiency, and reliability in infrastructure operationsContribute to the evaluation and thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools where appropriatePartner with security teams to align infrastructure services with best practices across identity, endpoint, data protection, and access controlTroubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, identity, collaboration, and integration issuesHelp define and improve infrastructure standards, documentation, processes, and support modelsAct as a technical escalation point for complex issuesWork cross-functionally with IT, security, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technology servicesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.3+ years of network engineering experience in an enterprise environment.7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or related IT rolesStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and enterprise collaboration servicesProven experience with identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, directory services, conditional access, and user lifecycle processesSolid understanding of systems architecture, including cloud services, hybrid infrastructure, networking, security, and integration patternsWorking knowledge of scripting and automation tools, with PowerShell strongly preferredExperience supporting and improving hybrid cloud/on-premises environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills across complex infrastructure and application integration scenariosAbility to provide technical direction and influence decisions without requiring formal management authorityStrong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similarFamiliarity with endpoint management tools such as Intune, Autopilot, and related Microsoft security capabilitiesExperience with ServiceNow, particularly incident, request, change, asset, or configuration management processesExperience supporting infrastructure in the energy industry or another highly regulated environment, with familiarity with NERC-CIP, audit readiness, access controls, change management, or related compliance practicesExposure to zero trust architecture principlesExperience evaluating or using AI-assisted tools in IT operations or enterprise productivity environmentsRelevant certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, security, or related infrastructure certificationsExperience contributing to team standards, technical initiatives, or infrastructure roadmapsBase Pay $137,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 25% - 40%The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
