Vice President Marketing (New York City Metropolitan Area)

Our client, a prominent asset manager, is looking for a Vice President within their Channel Marketing group to join their team.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Office, this person will be responsible for leading integrating marketing agendas for the global business. Additional responsibilities include:

Work alongside Sales and senior business leaders to shape the firm's overall growth strategy for institutional clients, turning broad priorities into specific decisions about which audiences, markets, client paths, channels and investments to pursue.

Maintain an up-to-date, evidence-based understanding of institutional clients and buying committees, including how they make decisions, what they need, what holds them back, who else they're considering and how this varies by region.

Design ongoing outreach programs that keep institutional buying committees, consultants and other influential decision-makers engaged throughout lengthy sales cycles.

Work with Sales and business leaders while offering an outside viewpoint to pinpoint the topics, questions and market shifts that matter most to institutional clients.

Direct coordinated execution through a shared pool of marketing specialists, setting clear direction, priorities and success metrics, while tailoring initiatives to fit regional needs.

Decide which industry conferences and events are worth attending, weigh the value of hosting the firm's own forums, and work with the Director of Events to turn those decisions into strong experiences and engagement efforts.

Build and manage a scorecard linking client engagement to qualified opportunities, key relationships, retention, growth and marketing ROI, while making sure everything meets regulatory, compliance and brand guidelines.

Requirements:

10+ years of progressive institutional asset-management marketing or closely related investment marketing experience
