Institutional clients can set up accounts, ACH/Checks, cards/ATMs, bill pay, statements, tax reporting, fraud protection, and white-label portals, with consultative support and a dedicated team for back office and product support.About the RoleBNY is seeking a Specialist, Client Processing II to support operational activities within Banking Transaction Services (BTS) Operations as part of BNY A.M.P. Banking Transaction Services is the core transactional banking product within A.M.P., enabling institutional clients to offer their customers a fully functional, branded banking experience powered by BNY’s infrastructure. Through BTS, a fintech, insurer, or other institutional client can provide access to a suite of everyday banking capabilities, including debit cards, check writing, ACH receiving (including direct deposit), online bill pay, customer service support, and fraud monitoring.In this role, the Specialist II will support day-to-day processing and operational activities across key BTS functions, helping to ensure accuracy, timeliness, strong controls, and a high-quality client experience. This opportunity is well suited for a developing professional with foundational experience in banking, operations, payments, reconciliations, and client service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily operational processing and service activities across Banking Transaction Services functionsAssist with broker support activities, including account-related processes, reconciliation, billing, and settlement supportPerform routine operational tasks in accordance with established procedures, service level expectations, and control requirementsHelp investigate and resolve operational exceptions, breaks, and issues in a timely manner, escalating as neededSupport payment-related operational processes associated with ACH, checks, wire transfers, and debit cardsPartner with internal teams across operations, product, technology, client service, risk, compliance, and finance to support effective executionMaintain accurate records, documentation, and process support materials to promote operational consistency and audit readinessAssist in monitoring daily workflows, identifying issues, and contributing to service quality and process efficiencySupport reconciliation and control activities to help ensure accurate processing and issue identificationParticipate in process improvement efforts by identifying manual touchpoints, inefficiencies, or opportunities for stronger controlsContribute to team reporting, metrics gathering, and other operational tracking activitiesBuild knowledge of BTS products, operational processes, and the broader BNY A.M.P. operating modelCollaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support consistent service deliveryTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience2–5 years of experience in operations, financial services, banking, or a related environment preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately in a deadline-driven environmentGood analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriatelyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationshipsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Ability to learn and apply operational processes, systems, products, and control requirements Demonstrated ability to work with greater independence on routine assignments while contributing to broader team objectivesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience in financial services, banking operations, payments, reconciliations, settlement activity, or transaction processing Familiarity with payment types such as ACH, checks, wires, or debit cards is a plusExposure to operational controls, exception management, and issue resolutionExperience identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting operational efficiency initiatives Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a client-focused mindsetComfort working across multiple systems, tasks, and stakeholder groups in a fast-paced operational setting"Client Processing - IC2Performs routine and non-routine client service and transactional support functions. Provides analytics and reporting services, working to improve and automate transaction processing systems. Advises organizational units/teams to ensure timely delivery of service, or resolution of issue. Provides direction to lower-level service roles in the successful delivery of support or service. Processes account related transactions per scheduled events/client authenticated direction. Answers inquiries and resolves problems or issues. Assesses needs and suggests/promotes alternative approaches to service models.Participates in straightforward product development, product enhancement, and system testing to ensure that products continue to accurately and efficiently process high value transactions. Solves problems based on an understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the system. Integrates in-depth area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices to provide solutions to internal and external clients. Manages situations which may require adaptation of response or extensive research according to internal or external client response.May be responsible for allocating and checking work of support team members. May be responsible for specific supervisory review, training and approval actions.Contributes to the achievement of team objectivesBachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.3-5 years of total work experience is preferred. Experience in brokerage processing is preferred.
