Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team at Raritan, NJ.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and alternating Saturdays (9:00am to 05:30pm)Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications3 months or more of specimen processing experience3 months or more of medical or laboratory experienceAdditional Job Standards· Comfortability with handling biological specimens· Ability to accurately identify specimens· Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills· Ability to work independently and within a team environment· High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask· Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times· Strong communication skills; both written and verbal· Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position· Able to pass a standardized color blindness test· Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
