Laboratory Specimen Processor
$17.75 - $20 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor in Raritan, New Jersey to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, including unpacking, labeling, packing, and shipping samples. The role operates nights and early mornings, Tuesday through Saturday with alternating Monday, requiring attention to detail and ability to meet production timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing and analysis
- Unpack specimens and route to appropriate staging areas
- Pack and ship specimens to designated testing facilities
- Perform accurate data entry of patient information
- Identify and resolve problem specimens with documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Able to pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to perform job duties
Compensation: $17.75–$20.00/hour plus shift differential
