Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

To support prior authorization processes, the full-time Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) will review authorization requests, apply clinical criteria, and communicate with providers and pharmacies while working remotely. Key responsibilities Interprets and applies clinical criteria during the prior authorization review process Utilizes member claims history and makes outbound calls to gather necessary information for processing requests Handles inbound calls related to prior authorization inquiries and assists with appeals processing as assigned Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA) 1 to 3 years of prior authorization experience Experience in PBM, managed care, or hospital pharmacy settings Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
