Senior Principal IT Business Analyst - SAP FICO

About the Role Senior Principal IT Business Systems Analyst – SAP FICO on the Digital Technology team. Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP FICO solutions across the Diabetes Business group. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end global SAP implementation programmes and design the overall FICO solution. Gather and verify business requirements; apply functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO/SD for analysis, design, configuration, modification, enhancement, testing and support of complex IT systems. Integrate ERP applications, automate financial processes and ensure integration with other SAP modules and legacy systems. Conduct thorough business‑process analysis and identify areas for improvement. Design, configure and test SAP FICO modules, ensuring compliance with SOX, US GAAP and IFRS reporting. Lead and manage SAP FICO projects—including upgrades and new implementations—in waterfall, agile and Activate methodologies. Provide user support and training, maintain detailed documentation, and resolve issues to minimise disruption. Collaborate closely with other IT and business teams to meet organisational needs. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree (or 8+ years with an advanced degree). Strong knowledge of financial and accounting modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank accounting, cash flow, product costing). Thorough understanding of Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes and their integration with finance modules. Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance or related field (master’s preferred). Experience in the life‑sciences industry and end‑to‑end business process analysis. In‑depth SAP FICO knowledge and integration with other SAP modules. Experience with SAP ECC6.0 and/or S/4HANA Financials, product costing, GL, AL&A, AUC, AR, AP, bank integrations, payments, taxes, month‑end processes and group consolidation. Experience with OneStream, TIS, SAP security (role‑based access, segregation of duties) and third‑party tools (Paymetric, Vertex, Kofax, Documentum, HP ALM). Project management experience in Waterfall, Agile and Activate. Strong leadership abilities, proactive problem‑solving and ability to manage multiple priorities. SAP FICO certification is highly desirable; Project System technical knowledge is an advantage. Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks or other data platforms.
