Registered Nurse RN - Medical Surgical Unit X C2 - Full Time Night Req #: 0000235936 Category: Nurses Status: Full-Time Shift: Night Facility: Monmouth Medical Center Department: Medical & Surgical X Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour Location: 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Summary of Job Function The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available. The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs. Qualifications Required ASN or Nursing Diploma One to two years' experience within specialty Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred BA/BS/BSN Degree Completion of Clinical experience in NLN accredited school Screening Certification eligibility National Certification Certifications and Licenses Required BLS and ACLS certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver's License Scheduling Requirements Night Shift, 36 hours per week Essential Functions Ensures safety in practice and incorporates evidence‑based practice via ongoing self‑education and knowledge sharing with the team.
