FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Floor Technician – Full Time Location: 2022 Ashland Road, Rockville, VA 23146. Online applications accepted only. Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM–5:30 AM (nights). During the initial site startup and construction clean phase, all team members will temporarily work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM before transitioning to their assigned schedule. Requirements: Previous janitorial and/or floor care experience is preferred but not required. Willing to train! Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface. Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surfaces, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
