Financial Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Finance Department through financial reporting, analysis, invoicing, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial close processes and financial reporting.
• Support financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Prepare project and employee metric reports.
• Process vendor and sub-consultant invoices accurately and timely.
• Reconcile and process business credit card transactions.
• Coordinate client invoicing, submissions, and related documentation.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned by company leadership and the Finance team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two (2) or more years of accounting, finance, or related business experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), nested formulas, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cost accounting, job costing, or financial analysis.
• Experience working in a professional services, engineering, consulting, or project-based environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
