Neurological Surgery Locum Opportunity in California

ProLocums

A facility in Eureka, California is seeking a Board Certified Neurosurgeon for clinic and call coverage during multiple holiday coverage blocks. The assignment includes a combination of outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient neurosurgical call coverage.

Schedule
Weekdays

Clinic: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Night Call: 5:00 PM - 8:30 AM

Weekends

24-Hour Beeper Call Coverage

Provider will be expected to cover clinic during daytime hours and take night call during assigned dates. Some weekdays may not require clinic coverage.
Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient Neurosurgery clinic
Inpatient consultations
Spine and complex neurosurgical cases
Emergency neurosurgical call coverage
Hospital rounding and patient management

Requirements

Board Certified Neurosurgery preferred
Board Eligible candidates within 3-5 years of residency may be considered
Active California License or IMLC
DEA required
Fluoroscopy Certification (temporary FLURO accepted)
Minimum 2 years of current hospital-based neurosurgery practice
Case logs demonstrating at least 100 applicable cases within the past 24 months
Any practice gaps greater than 3 months must be explained
