Location : Skokie, IL (5 days onsite)
Summary:
Join as a Senior Accountant, where you'll play a vital role in managing accounting operations for a growing portfolio focused on healthcare real estate, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of real estate or portfolio accounting experience, with familiarity in healthcare REIT, skilled nursing facilities, or commercial real estate
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Yardi or similar ERP systems
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate books and records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger updates
- Facilitate month-end close activities and assist with year-end audit processes
- Coordinate with external tax accountants and support the preparation of cost reports
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, balancing multiple priorities effectively
