Position Overview

This position involves working a day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. All start dates, return to office (RTO) information, and scheduling details must be confirmed at the time of submission as they cannot be altered afterward.

Requirements

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience.
• A permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required at the time of submission.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• The candidate must be willing to obtain the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to starting the position.
• One recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty is required for submission. Charge RN references are accepted.

Assessments and Training

During orientation, the following assessments will be conducted:

• Electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition test
• SafeMedicate assessment

An acceptable score on both assessments is required to continue in the role. Travelers will have two attempts to pass these assessments; failure to do so may result in cancellation.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
• Flu vaccination is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screening is required within 12 months prior to the start of the job. This must be updated annually.
• Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required.
• Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements, which will be honored temporarily.
